So recently I've become a little addicted to facebook.. Who knew!! I found alot of old friends from high school and beyond! It's great to reconnect with old friends, and of course, alot of my new friends too ;)

So question. Hubs and I went to high school together. While in high school, there was ALOT of drama. ALOT! I was not a popular girl, per se, but knew alot of people. And for some reason or another, lots of people liked to make up rumors about me.. Hubs was extremely jealous and well, it wasn't really fun. Almost 20 years later, we are in a very good place right now. Have been for a long time.

So as I start searching out people on facebook, he tells me it starts bringing up all these things, he thought were buried. WTH? Seriously, this pisses me off to no end, cause I thought it was done and over it. I had people request me as a friend, some I didn't remember, but when he saw them, he proceeded to tell me that these were people he absolutely hated in HS, and was quite shocked and angry that I would be searching them out. I didn't do it on purpose, and I certainly didn't mean to hurt him. I guess alot of stuff went down with these people, that I didn't even realize.

So what do I do? Do I delete them? to appease my husband (I mean he was seriously hurt and pretty angry) Do I say fuck it, get over (which is what I feel like doing). I am not out to rekindle any sort of romantic relationships I had with any of these people. Mostly, I wanted to reconnect with old friends. High school, and even middle school, before I met him, where very fun times in life. Some of my most memorable times before baby. Of course, after having Vic at 15, my life turned completely upside down. I put on my big panties, and did what I was supposed to. Graduated a year early from high school, went to college, got a job, etc. I lost touch with alot of people.

I did blame some of it on hubs. Telling him, it was his insecurities that were making him feel that way and he needed to deal with it. This is what it is, and what it's not.

ER

So this weekend I sat and watched 6 episodes of the FINAL season of ER.

I've watched this show since the beginning. Always loved Noah Wyle. Something about him. And seeing him in the last episodes made me all giddy.

I thought I would cry more. The moment I started busting out tears was when I realized Rachel (Dr. Greene's daughter) was doing the interviews.. omigod! Those last 5-10 mins of the last eppie. Just gave me chills all over. I know it's fictional, but still I want to know what happens with Archie and Claudia, does Rachel work at County? What about Neela and Ray! omigod! That made me so happy!!!!!!!!!!!! And what about Sam and Gates??!! I have to admit, I'm gonna miss seeing Mr. John Stamos on TV for a while, he is soo hot!

Soap

So I am way behind on my soap watching. I have over a week of GH dvr'ed.. To many things going on. Doing scrapping for a contest on a message board I frequent called Scrap Idol.. Just like the show, someone gets kicked off every week..and I'm in the top 2 right now!!! Yay me, but seriously has kicked my butt, then I was all consumed with Twilight. I was SUPPOSED to be reading a book from my book club "The brief and wondrous life of Oscar Wao." However right about this time was when I finished Twilight... So decisions, decisions.. Second book, New Moon or Oscar Wao??? Well I tried, I really tried to do my duty and read Oscar Wao, it's a good Pulitzer winning book. It started out good, but Jacob and Edward wouldn't leave my mind, so I gave up..

To make a long story short (too late!) my soap watching has been hindered. Then I discovered, that after about 8-10 shows, it started deleting them!! Why?? I don't get it, have plenty of room in there. So I started watching.

To tell you the truth it's a little boring, but boy some couples have really put the soap back in soap opera.. Baby that's what I'm talking about. Shirts coming off, kissing, love making, ahhhh.. If only Jason (not Sonny!) was the one lovemaking I could maybe watch more than one episode a day to catch up.. Jax doesn't hurt the eyes either, but this is soap operas, this is what it should be about. I actually turn away because I am feeling a little voyeuristic when I am watching them go at it, but that's what it's about, right??!

Anyway, GH needs to do some serious revamping! It's taking up too much room in my DVR, and I have given up DVR other shows to make room for GH.. Make it worth it damn it! I'm loving Spinelli and Maxie, Robin's PPD and well that's about it.. So c'mon GH step it up! I

New Style.

Did I tell ya'll that I cut my hair?? Well I didn't do it myself this time, I actually had a professional do it.

I was tired of my long hair, you can see some if it here. or heck, right here..

Well this look lasted about an hour at work, then it's up in a pony or a braid, or something, at work, and really what fun is that? No style, just meh..

Well here it is! It's not the greatest, it's with my camera phone, and yup, that's where I work! My new style.. It's a bit shorter than I was expecting, it's still pretty long at the back though. Looks like a long mullett! LOL! Lots and lots of layers up top. I wanted something funky. We'll see how long it lasts, it will probably grow out pretty quickly, and i probably won't cut it again for another year and they can take another 6 inches off!

Big Bear Big Bear what do you see?

Last week we took the family to Big Bear. We rented a gorgeous cabin, and we went with my husbands 2 brothers and their families.

It was gorgeous! I have never seen snow, being a local Cali girl.. Even though you can see the snow tipped mountains out in the distance from our house. I get really bad car sickness. So I've always fretted at mountain driving. I bought some wrist bands, and I was in the driver's seat, and I was good to go!

I have never been anywhere where the tempertures drop to the 20's. So it was quite the experience. There was still tons of snow on the mountain, and we found a little slope near us where the kids to go sledding. We loved the cool crisp air, and are planning another trp this winter!

Criahana Fiasco

So in soap land most couples have an acronym. Lisaon (Liz-Jason) Soily (Sonny-Emily) Scrubs (robin-Patrick)... I am calling this Criahana.

Being affected by domestic abuse personally, this whole thing sickens me. Infuriating me even further is that this weekend we went to the Nevada/California state line for some gambling. As we were at the cashier to be seated, a young African American girl was standing behind the counter, with a copy of OK! Magazine with the headline something to the affect that Riahana took back Chris Brown. I looked at SIL and said, that's disgusting. This young girl looked at me and said "C'mon, she ain't stupid, who WOULDN'T take Chris Brown back?"

Really?? Is this what we are teaching our young girls? That statement right there really bothered me. Having personal experience with this, I know the statistics on this. Yes a majority of the girls keep going back to their abuser. They are made to feel as if it's their fault, if only they hadn't said something to unleash their rage.. All in all, after a couple of incidents like, and years of dealing with it, they do end up leaving, even if they come back a hundred times. I'm not saying that someone can't be rehabilitated. I am living proof. But it takes years for that to happen, not a couple of weeks.

I agree with most of the media out there, that this can help with communication out there. I've asked my 18 year old son, this very question after hearing on the news yesterday that it is speculated she is back with him, because she said she hit him first. I don't give a flying fuck if she hit him, what did she do? Slap him? He could have thrown her out of the car, told her to get the fuck out, swear at her, and take off. But to put someone in headlock and beat you until you are unconscious? There is never a good reason for that unless you are fighting for life.

Also, just recently, my 17 year old niece was living with her very much older boyfriend. He was probably hitting her before, but at one point gave her a bloodied nose and lip in the car, she ran out looking for help and found a police office. He took off. They did nothing. She went back home. About 3 weeks later, he was calling her over and over and over. Said he was sorry, it would never happen again. Well she left her home again to live with him. On a Saturday morning at 2 am the police brought her home again with a black eye, contusions on her neck, bloodied lip and scratches. They arrested him, but let him go the very next day. It's been about 3 weeks since that happened, and I hope and pray she finds the strength to not return to him. It saddens me to no end. And the reason why this whole situation just makes my stomach turn.

They must have figured it out. Myspace, Facebook, it's all blocked. Wah!!

So seriously, Kelsy, if you read this, you are GOING to have to tell me how to update through text!
