Beauty Marks the Spot

I've always had moles. Everywhere. When I was little my ma would call them beauty marks. So when people commented on my "beauty marks" I'd say only beautiful people get them. And I believed it for a long time. LOL.

For the past 2 or 3 weeks, I've actually seen the birth of a beauty mark! I actually thought it was a burn of some sort, like from oil (cause ya'll now I cook SOOO much), but after about a week, I noticed this spot near my wrist wasn't going away like a normal small burn. But instead started turning brownish. I decided to feel it, because well a burn would usually scab over or have a bump or some texture. This feel smooth and it is starting to "melt" onto my skin.

I know it's not good to see this "beauty marks" developing over my body, and I should really get them checked out. I do after all live in Southern California. And I was a sun worshipper (I've had first degree burns from being in the sun)... so all this could lead to something alot more serious.

But for now, I'll settle with the definition that only beautiful people get "beauty marks".

I've had beauty marks my whole life. In fact, my cousin and grandma and I all have the same one on our cheek!
